COVID-19 Update: Qatar Foundation Precautionary Measures

Share

More than three months have passed since, in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, Qatar Foundation (QF) introduced remote working measures across the organization and closed our community spaces and facilities, reflecting the fact that safety and wellbeing is our top priority.

The period since has been challenging, but also enlightening and heartening. Our staff, students, faculty, and teachers have demonstrated their resourcefulness, resilience, and adaptability to change and embraced new ways of working, ensuring QF’s mission has continued uninterrupted against the backdrop of a global pandemic. We also greatly appreciate how the public have shown support and understanding for the necessary measures we have taken.

As national restrictions begin to gradually ease, we are currently working on plans for how we can reopen our community spaces and facilities, as well as to resume office working. The implementation of these plans will be based on government guidance, Qatar’s health indicators, and also indicators within QF itself, reflecting the multifaceted nature of our organization and the diversity of our community.

We will provide further information regarding the reopening of our spaces and facilities at the appropriate time. Our remote working measures remain in place and any return to office working will be in gradual phases, with the necessary precautions being taken and safety being foremost in our minds.

We continue to keep our staff fully informed of the health and travel guidance issued by the State of Qatar, and to advise and support them as necessary.

As ever, we urge everyone to continue following official health guidelines, and to stay safe.
